Louisville snapped a three-game losing streak against Syracuse, moving the team into a tie with Marquette in the Big East. Russ Smith led the Cards with 18 points and Gorgui Dieng finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Peyton Siva failed to score, missing eight 3-pointers, but had four assists and no turnovers.
