Cardinals Stumble On First Big Test Of The Season Against UNC

Despite Russ Smith’s best attempt scoring a career high 36 points, the Louisville Cardinals fell to North Carolina 93-84 in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic. Montrezl Harrell and Wayne Blackshear fouled out mid-way through the second half. Harrell ended the game with just five points and eight rebounds. The Tar Heels hand UofL their first loss of the season. The Cards return to action Friday against Southern Mississippi.
