BOXING | Professional Boxing Returning to Louisville

The first round of the “Jose Sulaiman World Invitational Tournament” is coming to Louisville, Ky.

The event will take place on Friday April 27 inside the KFC Yum! Center.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Evander Holyfield’s The Real Deal Boxing in association with the World Boxing Council and Louisville’s Top Knotch.

Eight welterweights were chosen for the tournament. They will each take take part in scheduled 10-round bouts. The fights are:

No. 1 Felix Diaz vs. No. 8 Derrieck Cuevas

No. 2 Chris Van Heerden vs. No. 7 Timo Schwarzkoph

No. 3 Fredrick Lawson vs. No. 6 Baishanbo Nasiywula

No. 4 Radzhab Butaev vs. No. 5 Brad Solomon

Former pro boxer Evander Holyfield, Real Deal Sports and Entertainment CEO Saul Musumeci and World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman stopped by Sports Night on Wednesday. They spoke with Andrew Chernoff about the upcoming event:
