The Professional Women’s Bowling Association is in the Bluegrass this week for the PWBA Louisville Open.

The tournament takes place at Fern Valley Strike and Spare.

Friday will feature the tournament’s qualifying blocks, while the Round of 32, Round of 12 and stepladder finals will each take place on Saturday.

Bowlers Josie Barnes and Bryanna Coté talked to Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff on Thursday about how they prepare for each tournament:

There is a local angle to this weekend’s tournament as well. Bowler Marissa Thomas is from Louisville, Ky. and a graduate of Bellarmine University. She will be taking part in this weekend’s PWBA Louisville Open.
