Bobby Petrino Weighs in on Scrimmage
08/18/2014 08:00 PM
UofL Football had a scrimmage last Saturday as part of their fall camp. The game lasted about 90 minutes as the first and second team offenses faced the first and second team defenses.
No official stats were kept, but the Cards looked especially sharp on offense. Quarterback Will Gardner seemed to have a good grasp on the offense and found open receivers with ease; while running backs Michael Dyer and Dominique Brown did a great job toting the rock and gaining yards after contact.
After the scrimmage, Coach Petrino said he was pleased with the team’s performance overall, but there are also some areas where the Cards can improve.
UofL opens the 2014 season at home September 1 against Miami.
