It’s a done deal: West Virginia has accepted an offer to join the Big 12 Conference, according to multiple media reports. The Big 12’s board of directors voted on Friday morning to choose West Virginia over Louisville, and the conference expects to stay at 10 schools for the time being. As for U of L, they will remain in the Big East Conference and hope that the league can maintain its BCS status.
U of L athletics director Tom Jurich discussed the situation with cn|2 Sports’ Chip Cosby shortly after the decision was made public.
