Arizona Kicker Chandler Catanzaro hit a 32 yard field goal with 1 second left, as the Arizona Cardinals beat Cincinnati 34-31 in a playoff style game. The loss is the Bengals second straight in prime time, dropping their record to 8-2. The Cardinals also improve to 8-2. Both teams lead their respective divisions, with the Bengals advantage in the AFC North down to two games over idle Pittsburgh.
Cincinnati led at the half 14-7, but in the third quarter, former Bengals Quarterback Carson Palmer tore up his former team, leading Arizona to three straight touchdowns. The Cardinals would have a 28-14 lead, but Cincy would eventually catch up, as Mike Nugent drilled a 43 yarder, making the score 31-all, before Palmer would drive the Cardinals 70 yards in 6 plays over the final 1:01 to set up the eventual game winning kick.
Andy Dalton was 22 of 39 for 315 yards and two touchdowns, while Palmer was 20 of 31 for 317 yards and four touchdown passes but also two interceptions. Gio Bernard caught eight passes for the Bengals for 128 yards in a losing effort.
Cincinnati returns home to host the 4-6 St. Louis Rams this Sunday at 1pm ET. Arizona is at San Francisco.
