BELLARMINE | Jake Thelen brings unique experience to Knights' coaching staff

04/20/2017 06:15 PM

As a player, Jake Thelen was a consensus All-American, and helped Bellarmine men’s basketball reach a Final Four in 2015.

He hopes to accomplish even more as the newest member of the program’s coaching staff.

Thelen is regarded as one of the all-time greats to wear a Bellarmine jersey, and since his graduation, he has added on a couple years of coaching experience to his resume. Most recently, he was a graduate manager for Tom Crean at Indiana.

Thelen is now back with his own former coach though, Scott Davenport, and is ready to draw on experience as a player and coach, to help his alma mater any way possible.
