All four goals from Louisville City's defeat of Orlando City

In their inaugural season, Louisville City FC has cemented itself in USL relevancy. Last night in front of record crowd of 9,434 fans, City took down Major League Soccer’s Orlando City SC with a score of 3-1.

Louisville controlled the ball early and after a some quality strikes on goal, City’s Matt Fondy found the back of the net in the 35th minute to give Louisville the lead heading into halftime.

Louisville came out of the half with fresh legs and kept pushing the pace. A goal from midfielder Juan Guzman in the 50th doubled Louisville’s lead, but Orlando answered 16 minutes later with a well placed shot from outside the box from Danny Mwanga.

Orlando came close in an equalizing effort in the 71st minute, but Louisville goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh tipped away a well placed cross, reset, and immediately saved another shot of the deflection.

Louisville last goal came seven minutes later from midfielder Charlie Adams to put his team up 3-1.

Louisville City will be back in USL play this Saturday night at home versus the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
