A.J. Green ranked 9th best NFL player

As NFL Network counts down their Top 100 NFL Players of 2014, A.J. Green landed at spot number nine. Green made the list each of the past three years, climbing from 77th in 2011-12 to 16th in 2012-13.

Green appeared on NFL Network’s reaction show to discuss his spot on the list but also talked a little about his quarterback. “We came in together and that is the great thing for me and him,” Green said. “I know he’s my guy. I don’t want any other quarterback throwing me the ball. I think he feels the same way about me.”

According to what Hue Jackson said earlier this offseason, he believes the best is yet to come for Green. “My challenge to him is, why not be the best? Why not be the best this league has ever seen? Because he has the ability to be that. And when they talk about A.J. Green, I want people to be talking about one of the greatest ever. Because he is and he has that,” said Jackson.

The Top 100 NFL Players of 2014 list also included Bengals Geno Atkins at No. 48 and Vontaze Burfict at No. 52.
