The Western Kentucky men’s basketball team is one win away from clinching a spot in the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. The three-seeded Hilltoppers (24-9, 14-4) beat the two-seeded Old Dominion Monarchs (25-7, 15-3) in the semifinal round of the Conference USA Tournament on Friday. The final score was 57-49. WKU women’s basketball forward Tashia Brown was named the Conference USA Player of the Year on Wednesday morning. The senior becomes the seventh player in program history to be named a conference player of the year. Brown leads the Lady Toppers in scoring, averaging 22.9 points per game. WKU ATHLETICS | Hilltoppers, Arkansas Agree to Three-Game, Multi-Sport Series

WKU and Arkansas have agreed to a three-game series involving both schools’ football and men’s basketball programs. The agreement states that the Hilltopper football team will face Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. in 2019. The Razorbacks will become the 10th SEC football program that WKU will have faced in its program history. Former WKU quarterback is taking part in this week’s NFL Combine. The WKU football program announced its spring football schedule on Wednesday. The Hilltoppers will play 14 practices beginning on March 20. It all leads up to the team’s annual Red vs. White Spring Game, which will take place on Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) inside Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Western Kentucky women’s basketball player Tashia Brown was named Conference USA’s Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. It’s the fourth time this season she has been named C-USA’s Player of the Week, which matches a WKU program record for most Player of the Week honors by an “individual in a single season.” Brown had a career-high 38 points in the Lady Toppers’ win over Charlotte on Friday night. The WKU Hilltoppers started off their current two-game road trip with a win on Thursday night, beating North Texas 102-94 in overtime. In that game, WKU guard Taveion Hollingsworth led the Hilltoppers with a game-high 30 points. WKU BASEBALL | Hilltoppers Ready for 2018 Regular Season

The WKU baseball team is ready to begin its 2018 regular season. The Hilltoppers will begin play this weekend at Memphis. Their three-game series was scheduled to begin Friday, before it was postponed due to “heavy rain in the region.” The two programs will hope to still play all three-games of their series on Saturday and Sunday.
