Former Louisville football player and current Los Angeles Rams guard Jamon Brown was back in Louisville on Monday to host a golf tournament. The inaugural Jamon Brown Foundation Golf Scramble took place at Lake Forest Country Club. The event benefited the Jamon Brown Foundation and the Coalition for the Homeless. Louisville men’s basketball is losing its leading scorer from this past season. Cards’ junior forward Deng Adel announced on Monday that he will keep his name in the upcoming NBA Draft and that he will hire an agent, effectively ending his career at UofL. NCAA drops its claim against former Louisville program assistant Brandon Williams

The NCAA has dropped its claim against former University of Louisville program assistant Brandon Williams in relation to its investigation of sexual misconduct within the men’s basketball recruiting program. An NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions had found that Williams did not fully cooperate with their investigation because he did not provide requested phone records which the committee alleges could have determined whether or not he was involved in the scandal. Former UofL baseball player Brendan McKay is back in Kentucky to start out the 2018 season. The 2017 Golden Spikes Award winner is starting out the year on the Bowling Green Hot Rods roster. The Louisville baseball team is getting ready for one of its toughest tests of the season Tuesday. The Cards (19-8, 5-7) will take on No. 9 Kentucky (19-9, 3-6) at 4 p.m. ET inside Cliff Hagan Stadium.
