The Tennessee Titans announced on Monday morning that they have parted ways with head coach Mike Mularkey. Mularkey had been the head coach of the Titans for the last two full seasons and part of the 2015 season. The Louisville Sports Commission has partnered with Talgrace Marketing to host the second year of SportsFest presented by Baptist Health. SportsFest is an “interactive, family-friendly sports event designed to engage kids and help them get active.” The event this year will take place Saturday and Sunday inside the Kentucky Expo Center, South Wing A. The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Tuesday that they have signed head coach Marvin Lewis to a two-year contract through the 2019 season. Bellarmine Knights prepare to test win streak

The Bellarmine Knights have a huge match-up on Monday when they test a 48-game home winning streak against No. 20 LeMoyne College. The Knights’ home-court advantage is not only the longest win streak in Division II, but across all of college basketball and even the NBA. Bellarmine is 9-0 to start the season. Louisville runner makes history at NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships

For the first time in school history, a University of Louisville women’s cross country runner has earned the program’s first-ever individual All-American honor. Sophomore Dorcas Wasike received the recognition on Saturday at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park. Wasike said running on a course at home made a huge difference in her performance. The Eastern Kentucky University women’s cross country team finished 23rd out of the 31 teams. Valhalla Golf Club to host 2024 PGA Championship

The PGA has announced that Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville will host the 2024 PGA Championship. Also announced on Thursday, Valhalla will host the Boys Junior PGA Championship in 2018 three weeks after the Girls Junior PGA Championship at Kearney Hill Links in Lexington. Mike Thomas, a PGA pro and the father of Louisville native and PGA champion Justin Thomas , was in attendance with the Wanamaker Trophy. Louisville Sports Commission kicks off Playing it Forward initiative

The Louisville Sports Commission’s Playing it Forward initiative kicks off during two special events on Saturday. The initiative was created to provide new and gently-used sporting equipment to low- and moderate-income children. The goal is to eliminate the cost of equipment and therefore the cost barrier to participating in organized sports. LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Boys In Purple Win 2017 USL Cup Final

The memorable season for Louisville City FC finished in the most memorable way possible, with a USL championship. LouCity FC beat Swope Park Rangers 1-0 in Monday night’s USL Cup Final. The difference was a goal by LCFC forward Cameron Lancaster in the 88th minute: After the game, Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff caught up with the hero of the night, Cameron Lancaster: It’s the first USL championship in the club’s short history.
