The preseason award watch-lists continue to roll in for the UofL football players. Thursday, a pair of linemen were recognized. Defensive tackle Drew Bailey and offensive guard Jerrin Christian were added to the Outland Trophy Watch List. The award is presented by the Football Writers Association of America and honors the top interior lineman in the country. Bailey is entering his senior season and has career 67 tackles- 10 for loss and 2.5 sacks in his 25 appearances for Louisville. Christian is entering... Read more

Multiple Louisville swimmers, past, present and future will be representing Cardinal Nation on the national stage in the coming weeks. Cards’ head coach Arthur Albiero will serve as a member of the American coaching staff for the upcoming FINA World Championships in Budapest later this month. It appears that former Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell is transitioning very well to life in the NBA. Mitchell had another big performance Tuesday night in his NBA Las Vegas Summer League game. He scored 37 points and had eight steals in the Utah Jazz’s 84-81 overtime loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Today is the first of many busy days to come for college basketball coaches in the month of July. Today starts the first open evaluation period of the month, meaning college coaches can attend AAU tournaments, and scout up-and-coming high school athletes. Louisville's Durr, Hines-Allen selected to USA Basketball U-23 Training Camp

The University of Louisville’s Asia Durr and Myisha Hines-Allen have been selected to participate in this year’s USA Basketball Women’s U-23 National Team training camp. Durr and Hines-Allen will be among 40 players in all at the camp, which will take place the week of July 23 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Twelve participants will then be selected to play in the U-23 Four Nations Tournament, a round-robin tournament played August 12-15 in Tokyo, Japan. Read more

Louisville football has plenty of question marks heading into the 2017 season, and a number of them are on the defensive side of the ball. The Cards lost nearly half of its defensive starters and have a brand new defensive coordinator calling the shots. UofL TENNIS | More Success For Ecarma's Son

Class of 2021 Louisville high school tennis star Xavier Ecarma continues to find success on the courts. This week, he and his doubles partner Baylor Sai, out of Nasvhille, Tn., won the USA National Level Three Doubles title. The duo topped the pair of Allen/Dina 8-5. It’s another championship for Ecarma, a five-star recruit, according to TennisRecruiting.com . Ecarma is the son of UofL men’s tennis head coach, Rex Ecarma.  Read more

Lamar Jackson proved to be the best individual in college football last year by earning multiple player of the year awards, including the coveted Heisman Trophy. However, Jackson is now starting to earn some recognition for his efforts off the field. The junior QB is one of 146 players nominated for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Bluegrass Players Named To Mackey Award Watchlist

Two UofL tight ends have been named to the John Mackey Award Watch List; Jordan Davis and Micky Crum. UK’s C.J. Conrad was also named to the list. Crum is a junior from Columbus, Ohio and appeared in only eight games afterbeing injured last season. He caught one pass for seven yards in Louisville’s season opener versus Charlotte after catching 14 passes for 163 yards and three scores in 2015.
