The Louisville Cardinals host their annual spring football game on Saturday afternoon. The intrasquad match-up takes place at 1 p.m. ET inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. On Wednesday, the Cards held their final practice of the spring before the game. Lamar Jackson was arguably the most electric player in college football last season. His ability to cut, juke, run, and still throw a laser-fast pass earned him numerous awards, most impressively the Heisman Trophy. His playmaking ability is second-to-none, but the University of Louisville football staff is now working to put him in situations to be a playmaker, without injuring himself or hurting the team. The #2 Louisville Cardinals earned a 7-5 win over #17 Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, UofL (27-4, 12-3) won the series two games to one over Wake Forest (23-10, 9-6). The Cards used a big sixth and eighth inning to propel them to victory on Sunday. It was tied 1-1 heading into the sixth, when the Cards scored four runs in the bottom of the frame. The Louisville football team held its second scrimmage of spring practice on Saturday morning. The Cards played it like a game, having the offense and defense face each other for three quarters. The University of Louisville basketball program has one of the highest rated recruiting classes in the country in 2017, made up by multiple five and four star prospects. The #2 Louisville Cardinals got the better of the #8 Kentucky Wildcats in the first match-up of the Bluegrass teams this season. Louisville (25-3, 10-2) jumped out to an early lead and held on after a late UK rally to earn a 5-3 victory over Kentucky (21-9, 7-2). It’s the Cards sixth straight victory over the Cats in the rivalry and their fourth straight win over the Cats at Jim Patterson Stadium. The Louisville football team held its first scrimmage of spring practice on Saturday morning inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. UofL ran almost 200 plays during the scrimmage. “I thought it went well,” said head coach Bobby Petrino. “I was happy with the defense at times. I was happy with the offense at times. UofL BASKETBALL | Cards' Season Ends in Sweet 16

The #1-seeded Baylor Bears were too much for the #4-seeded Louisville Cardinals on Friday evening, ending the Cardinals’ season in the Oklahoma City Regional of the NCAA Women’s Tournament. Baylor jumped out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there, topping UofL 97-63 in their Sweet 16 match-up. The University of Louisville on Thursday released the NCAA reply to the institution’s own response to the Notice of Allegations that came down in October of last year. The notice of allegations charged Louisville with four Level I violations, one of which was disputed by U of L: that head men’s basketball coach rick Pitino failed to monitor former staffer Andre McGee who provided and paid for adult entertainment and sex acts for visiting recruits and current players. UofL BASKETBALL | Donovan Mitchell To Test NBA Waters

Louisville sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell announced on Instagram Wednesday afternoon that he will declare for the NBA Draft, although he will not hire an agent. Not hiring an agent allows him to return to Louisville should he decided to come back for his junior year. Many NBA mock drafts have Mitchell as a late first-round pick, thanks in part to his successful 2016-2017 campaign in which he was named to the All-ACC First-Team.
