FC CINCINNATI | Announces Principal Partners in MLS Stadium Project

FC Cincinnati announced the principal development partners for its $200-plus million Major League Soccer stadium, that will be located in the West End neighborhood of Cincinnati. MEIS, which is an architectural firm, will design the facility and Turner Construction will manage its construction. The Machete Group will manage all phases of FCC’s West End stadium, and U.S. Bank is the finance partner for the stadium. NKU Director of Athletics Ken Bothof announced on Friday that NKU and men’s basketball head coach John Brannen have agreed to a new four-year contract keeping Brannen as head coach through the 2021-2022 season. Brannen has amassed a 55-42 overall record during his three years as the head coach of the Norse. Louisville City FC head coach James O’Connor is leaving the club to become the coach at Major League Soccer’s Orlando City SC. O’Connor informed the team Friday morning that he has agreed to a deal in principle to accept the coaching position with Orlando City SC. LOUISVILLE CITY FC | LouCity FC Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony at New Stadium Site

Louisville City FC held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new soccer-specific stadium in Butchertown on Thursday afternoon. The new $65 million stadium is slated to have 11,300 seats. It is expected to be open in time for the 2020 season. The new stadium is expected to have the following features: 18 luxury suites Premier Club area with accomodation for 250 Club and loge seating options 40×72-foot video board Eight bars in strategic locations throughout stadium Currently, LouCity FC plays its home matches at Louisville Slugger Field.  Read more

Louisville City FC lost its first home match in the USL regular season on Wednesday, falling 1-0 to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. Pittsburgh’s Kenardo Forbes scored the game’s only goal in the 79th minute: Wednesday’s match was LouCity’s fourth match in 11 days between USL play and U.S. Open Cup play.
