WKU men’s basketball came into Thursday’s night’s contest against UAB riding six straight wins and sitting atop Conference USA alongside bitter rival, Middle Tennessee. Louisville City FC announced its five-week preseason calendar on Thursday, highlighted by its four preseason games. The Boys in Purple will train for two weeks at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl. beginning on Feb. 4. Once they are back, they will start playing their preseason games. WKU BASKETBALL | Lady Toppers Cruise to Big Win Thursday

The WKU women’s basketball team bounced back from its first conference loss of the season by beating UTSA on Thursday in Bowling Green. The Lady Toppers (13-5, 4-1) took the lead for good almost halfway through the first quarter and never trailed again en route to a 73-38 win over UTSA (3-14, 1-4). UofL FOOTBALL | Cards, USF Agree to Three-Game Series

The Louisville football program has agreed to a three-game series with USF. UofL Interim Director of Athletics Vince Tyra announced the news on Thursday. The games will take place during the 2022, 2024 and 2026 seasons. “We are committed to scheduling quality programs, and we have done that with the addition of USF to our non-conference schedule,” said Tyra in a press release. The Louisville baseball team is less than a month away from beginning its 2018 regular season. The Cards’ season opener is in Charleston, S.C. on Feb. 16 at 12 p.m. ET against Richmond. The WKU men’s basketball team is getting ready for a big week of basketball games inside E.A. Diddle Arena. The Hilltoppers (13-5, 5-0) host UAB (13-5, 4-1) Thursday at 9 p.m. ET before hosting Middle Tennessee (13-4, 5-0) Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. UofL FOOTBALL | 2018 Schedule Revealed

The ACC announced Louisville’s complete 2018 football schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The Cards will play 12 games, seven of which will take place inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. UofL only has four true road games, as its season opener against Alabama will take place in Orlando, Fl. Eight of the Cards’ match-ups will be against teams in the ACC.
