The No. 19 Louisville football team bounced from its loss last weekend to then-No. 3 Clemson by beating Kent St. on Saturday afternoon. The Cards (3-1, 1-1) scored early and never looked back against the Golden Flashes (1-3, 0-0) en route to a 42-3 victory. Trinity High School 6’5” shooting guard David Johnson committed to Louisville on Friday. Johnson, a class of 2019 prospect, is rated as a four-star prospect by 24/7 Sports and Scout.com. The University of Louisville announced the men’s basketball red/white scrimmage dates on Wednesday. The Cards will face off in two intrasquad scrimmages at the KFC Yum! Center; the first one on October 13 and the second on October 27. Both will tip off at 7:00 p.m. eastern. The Louisville Cardinals lost 47-21 on Saturday night to the Clemson Tigers in a “Top 15 Showdown” inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The loss dropped the Cards (2-1, 1-1) to #19 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll. Meanwhile, the Tigers (3-0, 1-0) moved up to #2 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll. As #3 Clemson faced off with #14 Louisville in a black-out prime-time match-up, it was the Tigers that came away victorious, beating the Cards 47-21.
