Orlando Magic guard Shelvin Mack was back in his hometown of Lexington on Tuesday and Wednesday, hosting his annual skills camp at his alma mater, Bryan Station High School. Mack is entering his seventh season in the NBA. He was signed by the Magic earlier this month.  Read more 

Group of Kentuckians heading to BMX World Championships

A group of eight Louisville athletes are set to compete in the 2017 UCI BMX World Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The riders from Derby City BMX are among more than 3,300 riders from across the world to participate in the competition, which will run until Saturday. The group trains at a recently refurbished facility at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville. As the 2017 OVC Media Day wrapped in Nashville on Monday, this season’s focus for the Murray State Racers was clear — the team’s quarterback replacement and an improved defense. Valencia tops FCC 2-0

Nippert Stadium was filled with 23,114 fans on Monday night for F.C. Cincinnati’s international friendly versus La Liga club Valencia C.F. Valencia head coach Marcelino compared the atmosphere at Nippert to that of a La Liga match and said he hopes Cincinnati gets into the MLS. Valencia scored their first goal in the 62nd minute. Brian Brohm talks beginnings at Purdue and "containing" Lamar Jackson

Brian Brohm is entering his second season as a college football coach, this year it’s as the quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator at Purdue under his brother Jeff Brohm. The Boilermakers have a history of fantastic quarterbacks that went on to NFL success, and the Brohms are hoping to bring the program back to national relevance. FC CINCINNATI | FCC Wins Third Match in a Row

Not even a couple lightning delays could slow down FC Cincinnati on Saturday night, as the Orange and Blue beat the visiting Harrisburg City Islanders 3-0. The victory is the third win in a row for FCC after its loss to Tampa Bay earlier this month. The score was 0-0 just over halfway into the first half, when a lightning delay stopped the match. Sunday evening will be memorable for fans at the Louisville Bats’ home game against Buffalo. That is because the game will also be coinciding with the “Salute to the Black Sports” Hall of Fame Game Day, which recognizes sporting icons. Jerry Ellis, the brother of the late boxing legend Jimmy Ellis, joined Sports Night on Friday. LOUISVILLE CITY FC | Smith Able to Balance a Busy Schedule

Earlier this week, LouCity FC defender Kyle Smith was named USL Midseason Defender of the Year. Smith has played every minute of LCFC’s matches so far this season. That incredible streak will end this Saturday though against Saint Louis FC due to his one-game suspension after accumulating five yellow cards. Another incredible thing Smith has been able to do this season is balance his schedule. Outside of soccer, he works as a part-time accountant. In fact, he’s studying to become a CPA.... Read more

FC Cincinnati is playing solid soccer right now. The Orange and Blue have lost only once in their last nine outings, a 2-0 loss at Tampa Bay in early July. In fact, FCC is on a two-game winning streak right now heading into Saturday’s match against Harrisburg City. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 7 p.m. ET inside Nippert Stadium.
