Real Deal Sports & Entertainment’s inaugural boxing event took place Saturday night inside Louisville’s Freedom Hall. There were ten professional bouts on the full card. Meanwhile, two amateur fights kicked off the event. Multiple boxers from the Bluegrass took part in the action. The first professional boxer to fight was Louisville’s Abel Penna Falls. The 245-pound boxer faced off against Miami’s Joseph Benjamin White in a four-round heavyweight bout. The Falls-White bout ended in a majority draw. Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Sports & Entertainment’s inaugural boxing event takes place inside Louisville’s Freedom Hall on Saturday night. The event, which is branded, “Evander’s Tribute to Ali,” is part of the “I Am Ali” festival. There will be ten professional bouts on Saturday night, preceded by two amateur bouts. Louisville City FC picked up its third consecutive win this past Saturday by topping the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 3-0. The match was played in front of over 8,000 fans inside Louisville Slugger Field. As a result of the victory, LouCity FC finds itself alone in second place in the USL’s Eastern Conference standings with 25 points. FC Cincinnati ties Charleston 2-2

It’s been a long week for FC Cincinnati. Since their 1-1 draw versus Charlotte, the club has announced new stadium plans, upset the MLS’ Columbus Crew and now battled Charleston in a rematch that resulted in a 2-2 tie. FC Cincinnati pulls off upset of MLS Columbus Crew

In a U.S. Open Cup fourth round match, FC Cincinnati pulled off a 1-0 upset of MLS club Columbus Crew. The match was the first meeting between the two Ohio clubs. FCC star striker Djiby Fall scored the games lone goal. He gave Cincinnati the lead with a header goal in the 64th minute. FC CINCINNATI | Defender Matt Bahner previews Open Cup game against Columbus

Over 20,000 tickets have been sold for tonight’s game between FC Cincinnati and MLS side Columbus Crew SC. The US Open Cup game is the first MLS opponent for FCC, and a chance to prove the club belongs in the USA’s highest level of the sport. MLB DRAFT | McKay, Adell, and White all chosen in the First Round

In a surprise to some, Louisville baseball superstar Brendan McKay was chosen by Tampa Bay as the 4th overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft. Many analysts speculated that McKay might be chosen by Minnesota as the #1 overall pick. The Twins instead opted for shortstop Royce Lewis. Jake Taylor recently graduated from St. Xavier High School in Louisville, and is going to Hanover College in the fall to play football. Not many people get to experience playing college athletics, and for Jake, the chance to play any sports ever again was doubtful just a few years ago.  Read more
