The USL Soccer season is officially underway, and Louisville City takes home one point to start the season, drawing Saint Louis FC 0-0 at Louisville Slugger Field. The #1-seeded Baylor Bears were too much for the #4-seeded Louisville Cardinals on Friday evening, ending the Cardinals’ season in the Oklahoma City Regional of the NCAA Women’s Tournament. Baylor jumped out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there, topping UofL 97-63 in their Sweet 16 match-up. Former McDonald’s All American and Chicago-native Linnae Harper spent her freshman and sophomore seasons at the University of Kentucky, playing for Coach Matthew Mitchell before transferring to Ohio State ahead of the 2015-2016 season. The Sweet 16 for the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament will be held Friday night. One match up- Notre Dame versus Ohio State has some Kentucky connections, one being former Miss Kentucky Basketball and Elizabethtown graduate, Erin Boley. FC CINCINNATI | Quinn Ready to Make Regular Season Debut with Club

FC Cincinnati midfielder Aodhan Quinn is preparing to make his FCC regular season debut on Saturday. The club takes on the Charleston Battery in South Carolina at 7 p.m. ET in its regular season opener. Quinn signed with FCC in January of this year. The #4-seed Bellarmine men’s basketball team got out to an early lead in its Elite Eight match-up and never looked back against #5-seed Colorado School of Mines on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights cruised against the Orediggers, winning 92-72, punching their ticket to the Division II Final Four. Bellarmine led 55-39 at halftime en route to the 20-point victory. UofL BASKETBALL | Donovan Mitchell To Test NBA Waters

Louisville sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell announced on Instagram Wednesday afternoon that he will declare for the NBA Draft, although he will not hire an agent. Not hiring an agent allows him to return to Louisville should he decided to come back for his junior year. Many NBA mock drafts have Mitchell as a late first-round pick, thanks in part to his successful 2016-2017 campaign in which he was named to the All-ACC First-Team.
