WKU’s Lady Tops won 77-50 over Marshall Saturday despite having a slow start offensively. Head Coach Michelle Clark-Heard and Senior Ivy Brown discuss the team’s 20th win this season. Ivy Brown scored 26 points with 10 rebounds and 5 steals. Senior Tashia Brown put up 21 points and also had 5 steals. Freshman Raneem Elgedawy scored 12 points with 10 rebounds. Coach Stansbury said playing small helped both Josh Anderson and Darius Thompson to be more effective in scoring and rebounding in WKU Basketball’s 83-76 win over FIU Saturday night. He may have planned to go small for this game, but Dwight Coleby’s knee injury in the first half may have sealed that decision for the head coach. Adidas has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed against the apparel company by former UofL men’s basketball head coach Rick Pitino. The company claims the suit is without merit, per a criminal complaint which indicates that Pitino was, in fact, aware of a pay-to-play scandal involving UofL basketball recruits.
