Gallatin County High School senior Mason Wilson has found success during his athletic career at the high school level. In fact, the star basketball player has committed to play college basketball at Midway University. But, basketball is not his only prep sport. The two-sport athlete has played both basketball and baseball for the Wildcats all four years at Gallatin County, and last year he threw another unexpected sport into the mix.  Read more

The Morehead St. athletic department made it official on Tuesday, holding a press conference to introduce Preston Spradlin as the men’s basketball program’s 14th head coach. Last week, MSU removed the “interim” tag off of Spradlin’s title after finishing its national search for a permanent head coach. Spradlin became the interim head coach of the Eagles in December, after then-head coach Sean Woods resigned. The Western Kentucky football program held its annual Pro Day on Monday at the team’s Houchens-Smith Stadium. Twenty-one former Hilltoppers showed off their skills in front of representatives from 26 different NFL teams. The #2-seeded Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team is heading back to the Final Four for the first time since 2014. The Cardinal mounted a serious second half comeback against the #1-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday afternoon inside Lexington’s Rupp Arena. The USL Soccer season is officially underway, and Louisville City takes home one point to start the season, drawing Saint Louis FC 0-0 at Louisville Slugger Field. Louisville City controlled the game for the full 90 minutes, but were never able to crack the Saint Louis defense. The #1-seeded Baylor Bears were too much for the #4-seeded Louisville Cardinals on Friday evening, ending the Cardinals’ season in the Oklahoma City Regional of the NCAA Women’s Tournament. Baylor jumped out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there, topping UofL 97-63 in their Sweet 16 match-up.
