The Louisville women’s team had its magical start to the 2017-2018 season ended on Sunday inside the KFC Yum! Center. The No. 2 Cards (20-1, 6-1) suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of No. 12 Florida St. (18-2, 6-1). The final score was 50-49. The Louisville men’s basketball team won its fourth ACC game in a row on Sunday afternoon. The Cards (15-4, 5-1) survived a late scare from Boston College (13-7, 3-4) en route to a 77-69 victory. It was a back-and-forth game until late in the second half, when Louisville built up an 18-point lead with 3:57 to play. The University of Louisville football program has announced that Defensive Coordinator Peter Sirmon has resigned, effective immediately. In a press release, Head Coach Bobby Petrino said: “I would like to thank Peter Sirmon for all of his work this season at the University of Louisville.
