In a game that was stopped over half an hour for lightning in the area, the Louisville Cardinals (7-4, 4-4 ACC) were able to dominate the Syracuse Orange (4-7, 2-5 ACC) 56-10 in their final home game of the season at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Senior Day. The rain didn’t stop the Louisville offense from airing it out. By Ryan Dearbone Senior night is generally memorable on the Hill, but WKU and Middle Tennessee State University made the 2018 version unforgettable. After 3 low scoring quarters, in which neither team found its groove, both teams couldn’t stop scoring. WKU’s senior quarterback Mike White led the charge with 5 total touchdowns and 485 yards on 39-54 attempts. The Louisville Cardinals Men’s Basketball team moves to 2-0 to start the season, after a 87-78 win over Nebraska-Omaha at the KFC Yum! Center Friday night. In the first half, Louisville was shooting over 47% from the field (16/34) and dominated the Mavericks 40-25. They held Omaha to just 24.4% (10/24) from the field and 30% (3/10) behind the arc. The Louisville Cardinals football team (6-4, 3-4 ACC) is preparing to host Syracuse (4-6, 2-4 ACC) for their final home game of the 2017 season (and Senior Day) on Saturday. The Orange upset the reigning National Champions, the Clemson Tigers, earlier in the season, but have since gone on a three game losing streak. Valhalla Golf Club to host 2024 PGA Championship

The PGA has announced that Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville will host the 2024 PGA Championship. Also announced on Thursday, Valhalla will host the Boys Junior PGA Championship in 2018 three weeks after the Girls Junior PGA Championship at Kearney Hill Links in Lexington. Mike Thomas, a PGA pro and the father of Louisville native and PGA champion Justin Thomas , was in attendance with the Wanamaker Trophy.
