The campaign manager for the Republican gubernatorial ticket of David Williams and Richie Farmer will relinquish his day-to-day duties, the Williams-Farmer campaign confirmed.
Luke Marchant, who came to Kentucky in June to handle operations for the campaign, “had some professional opportunities he wanted pursue,” according to a statement from Williams-Farmer campaign Chairman Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Donald Storm.
Marchant will continue to consult for the campaign, Storm’s statement said.
“There are no other staffing changes,” Storm said.
As for who will take over the daily management of the campaign, “We don’t have anything to announce at this time,” said Williams-Farmer consultant Scott Jennings, in a brief telephone conversation.
Jennings moved into a consulting role after serving as campaign manager for Williams during the primary.
