Online Extra: Rep. Addia Wuchner discusses potential run in 2011
12/08/2010 01:33 PM
While in studio Tuesday, Republican state Rep. Addia Wuchner of Florence explained her interest in running for state auditor or secretary of state in next year’s GOP primary.
She said she plans to make a decision by the end of 2010.
Wuchner said later she likes her work in the General Assembly and will weigh that against running for statewide office.
She said he is no longer considering running for state treasurer, whose main job is to oversee the printing of state checks.
“I don’t want to just be a stamp on a check,” she said. “That’s not to take anything away from the job (incumbent treasurer) Todd Hollenbach is doing — it just doesn’t fit my personality.”
