Trump goes after McConnell on Twitter

President Donald Trump took to Twitter again on Thursday morning to slam Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, for failing to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

The tweet sent just before 7 a.m. chastised McConnell for campaigning on repealing and replacing the ACA for seven years and then not being able to get the votes necessary to follow through with the pledge.

This morning’s attack echoed one from Wednesday afternoon when the President first lashed out against McConnell for something he said in a speech Monday night.

According to WCPO McConnell said that Trump was new to government and had “excessive expectations about how quickly things happen in the democratic process” while at a Rotary Club meeting in northern Kentucky Monday night.

Those comments drew Trump’s first round of Twitter criticisms against the Senate’s top Republican Wednesday afternoon.
