FRANKFORT — State Sen. Reggie Thomas became the third Democrat to file paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office to appear on the ballot for 6th Dist. Congressional seat.

Thomas, D-Lexington, joins a crowded field for the race with a message focused around health care, and U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, R-Lexington, votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

Two other high profile Democrats in Lexington Mayor Jim Gray and former Marine Corps fighter pilot Amy McGrath have yet to file their paperwork to appear on the ballot.

Thomas told reporters that he is focusing his campaign on appearing before voters, and believes he is the most qualified candidate for the office.

Geoff Young and Theodore David Green have also filed paperwork to run for the office.
Candidates have until 4pm Eastern Time on Tues. Jan. 30 to file for the election.

Even if he somehow wins the Democratic nomination on May 22, Crooked Reggie doesn’t have a chance against Andy Barr ® in November. On August 2, 2017, the KDP published a “news” article on its official web site stating that Thomas & Amy McGrath were the only Democrats running. That constituted election fraud because I had announced in January, 2017. When I pointed out the fraudulent “news” story, neither Crooked Reggie (D) nor Crooked Amy (D) demanded that the story be corrected. The KDP seems to have only one trick that they use again & again: pretend that any Democrat they happen to hate doesn’t exist. Jack Conway did this to me in the 2015 “Democratic” primary for Governor, and my civil lawsuit is now before the 6th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

The fraudulent “news” article is still up there on the KDP’s official web site today:
