Former La Grange Mayoral Candidate to run for 4th Congressional seat
Brian D. Oerther, a Jefferson County School teacher and former candidate for mayor of La Grange, announced his intent to run for the Republican nomination for the open 4th Congressional District seat.
Oerther finished third in the La Grange mayoral primary in 2010 after initially saying he wanted to run for U.S. Senate.
Oerther told Pure Politics in an email that as Congressman he would, “… introduce legislation to reduce the size of government. I will fight to bring jobs to Kentucky and our District to help reduce the current unemployment rates. I will work to repeal the current legislation that threatens our coal companies and introduce legislation which will help decrease energy costs and lead to energy independence.”
Brian says he’s an everyday, hard-working man and soccer coach from Oldham County.
