Stumbo wants to give Kentucky GOP chairman the boot

MAYFIELD — Democratic state House Speaker Greg Stumbo offered a swift rebuttal Saturday to Kentucky Republican Party chairman Steve Robertson: I’m not a “Nancy.”
On Friday night, Robertson compared the state’s speaker of the House to Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Linking Kentucky Democrats to Pelosi and other national Democratic leaders has become a key strategy of the state Republican candidates.
Saturday morning, at the Democratic Party’s breakfast at Mayfield High School, Stumbo shot back at Robertson after being informed of the GOP chairman’s new line. Using a nickname he had started using in a speech during the event, “Supporter of Bush” or SOB for short, Stumbo blamed Robertson and Republicans for the country’s current economic problems. But Stumbo saved his fiercest response for last.
