Sarah Palin to raise money for Rand Paul on Thursday

Former Alaska governor-turned-GOP-kingmaker Sarah Palin will headline a fundraiser in Louisville on Thursday for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul.
Palin endorsed Paul during this spring’s Republican primary, which Paul won by 23 points.
Palin already was scheduled to be in Louisville Thursday to be the keynote speaker at the National Quartet Convention, a gospel music conference, at Freedom Hall.
Cathy Bailey, a former U.S. ambassador to Latvia during President George W. Bush’s ad Louisville-based fundraiser who is helping Paul’s campaign, told cn|2 Politics on Friday afternoon that she couldn’t confirm the event. But the Paul campaign issued a press release Sunday evening announcing the fundraiser at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville.
Palin has been actively endorsing Republican candidates in primary elections for U.S. Senate and governor across the country and helping many of them raise money.
