Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis found in contempt

On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning found Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis in contempt for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples .

Bunning told Davis that she would remain jailed until she complied with his order to issue the licenses to gay couples. Davis said, “Thank you” before she was led out of the courtroom by a U.S. Marshal. She was not in handcuffs.
