Robyn Williams takes turn as face of Williams-Farmer campaign in TV ad against Beshear
11/01/2011 09:05 AM
Robyn Williams, wife of Republican gubernatorial nominee David Williams, has become the latest spokesperson for her husband’s campaign TV ads against Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear.
In the ad, Robyn Williams says “we aren’t getting the truth from Steve Beshear” when it comes to Kentucky’s problems. And the former circuit court judge criticizes Beshear for “running a nasty campaign.”
She then promotes her husband’s job plan, which includes eliminating the income tax, and the endorsements of the campaign.
This is the second straight ad that the Williams’ campaign has featured someone other than David Williams. The campaign is also using slate mate Richie Farmer in TV ads that try and link Beshear with President Barack Obama.
