Rand Paul makes last pitch on Election Eve
11/01/2010 04:06 PM
On his tour across the state to give his final pitch to the media — and thus viewers/readers/listeners — Republican Rand Paul said the wind was behind his campaign and predicted “a lot of big” Republican victories:
Paul said Democratic candidate Jack Conway’s strategy of running the ad that questioned Paul’s decisions in college and affiliation with a secret society that satirized religion may have “backfired”:
Paul didn’t back away from his support for tax proposal that would replace the federal income tax with a 23% sales tax — he just said Conway has been misleading by leaving out from his ads the part in which the income tax would be eliminated.
Conway, meanwhile, was gearing up Monday for a rally with former President Bill Clinton.
