Rand Paul elected to second term in U.S. Senate

Republican U.S. Senator Rand Paul was elected to a second term Tuesday defeating Lexington Mayor Jim Gray. Paul said in his acceptance speech that his victory is just one of many for conservatives this election night.
Paul spent Monday campaigning across the state concluding his “Defend Kentucky” fly around tour with eight stops across the commonwealth before returning home to Bowling Green.
During his acceptance speech early Tuesday evening Senator Paul offered his ideas for the future of the GOP
Also, Rand offered his vision of the future for both Kentucky as well as the United States as he prepares for his second term
