10/25/2011 10:59 PM
The knock on Republican candidate for governor David Williams is that he can be mean. Even one of his own commercials says he has a reputation for “not playing nice.”
But his wife Robyn Williams revealed another side of her husband — for instance crying at a movie.
“It will probably be the last movie he goes to see with me because he can get kind of emotional,” Robyn Williams said of the Republican state Senate president during a recent interview segment of “political pepper” on Pure Politics.
To find out which movie, watch the segment (the movie question comes up at 1:40 of the video).
Among other insights are:
- David Williams’ favorite TV shows (2:40 of the interview)
- What David Williams is best at cooking (5:00)
- The couple’s favorite song (30 seconds)
- Favorite family board/card games (45 seconds) — Old maid when the kids are playing, Battleship when it’s Williams vs. Williams.
This is part of an occasional series on the personal side of the candidates. Pure Politics previously aired a political pepper segment with first lady Jane Beshear about the governor.
