Political pepper: First lady Jane Beshear dishes on the governor

When it comes to unwinding, the governor plays golf about twice a month and the occasional family volleyball match but rarely has time for movies with the first lady, Jane Beshear said.
The first lady dished on the less public side of Gov. Steve Beshear — including who does the dishes at their home.

“No, I’m the one who gets soapy sometimes in movies,” she said when asked if the governor gets emotional.

“We do that together,” she said.
The first lady and Madeline Abramson — wife of lieutenant governor Jerry Abramson talked about how Beshear and Abramson formed the ticket and how they expect to work together, if elected Nov. 8.
“They can just jump right in to the budget session and legislation because the mayor — just like the governor — has tremendous experience now in planning budgets and redoing budgets,” Jane Beshear said.
