College students are just as likely to support President Barack Obama’s re-election as they did in his first bid for office the head of the Kentucky College Democrats told Pure Politics.
Jordan Shewmaker, the president of the College Democrats and a sophomore at Centre College, said Obama has not lost his young support.
“I think we’re going to rally behind him,” Shewmaker said.
College Republicans are taking more of a “pick ‘em” approach when it comes to support for a Republican nominee to challenge Obama, one College Republican said.
“Everyone has got their pick,” T.J. Morrison said. “It’s fairly split.”
Pure Politics sat down with Morrison and Shewmaker to discuss a wide array of 2012 issues, including the presidential race. You can view that discussion below.
