Mongiardo requests recanvass of votes

Less than twelve hours after conceding the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo asked for a recanvass of votes, the Courier-Journal’s Joe Gerth is reporting.
The current unofficial totals on the State Board of Elections web site indicate Atty. Gen. Jack Conway has 3,542 votes more than Mongiardo. Seven precincts in Jefferson County have yet to report.
