McGarvey airing TV ad in race for Democratic primary in 19th Senate District

With less than a week to go before the May 22nd primary the top-funded candidate for the 19th District state Senate has launched a TV ad airing in the Louisville broadcast and cable TV markets.
The spot for Morgan McGarvey touches on the main themes he’s been using on the campaign trail: that he is a father and husband and highlights the big-name endorsements he’s received.
The ad started running this week on cable and local Louisville affiliate stations and prominently features the endorsement of the Courier-Journal, which picked McGarvey as the top choice in the four-candidate Democratic primary.
After raising more than $140,000, McGarvey has been the only candidate to run an ad in the race.
The 19th state Senate District is one of the most competitive primaries this election. With no Republican in the race, the winner of the May 22 Democratic primary is all but assured of being the next Senator.
