Mayor Fischer excited for economic growth in Louisville

The Kentucky Derby is one of the greatest economic boosts in the city of Louisville every year. Hundreds of thousands of people flood the city, supporting local businesses, and going home with stories about the their time in Kentucky.

Mayor Fischer is in attendance and loves seeing how many people can experience one of the greatest sporting events in the world. He also talked to Pure Politics producer Madeline Janicki, and said the economic boost from the Derby is one of the things he is proudest of as the Mayor.

Garrett is a Sports Producer for Spectrum News. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State and got his start as a sports photographer.
