Marine Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath announces run for Congress

Retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Amy McGrath is throwing her hat into the ring, announcing her run for Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District seat in a two-minute video.

She is seeking the Democratic party’s nomination in the May 2018 primary. McGrath joins State Senator Reggie Thomas, D-Lexington, who announced his run at the beginning of July. And Geoff Young, who has run for this seat twice before.
