Local races spark fierce primaries

The big trio of Northern Kentucky counties all have hotly-contested GOP primaries for judge-executive. Magistrate races in Oldham County have been magnets for controversy, including connections to an alleged Kentucky Derby ticket racket. And several counties in southern Kentucky boast ballots with more than 100 candidates vying for local offices.
