The Kentucky General Assembly will not convene Tuesday with up to a foot of snow expected to fall in some areas of the state, the Legislative Research Commission announced Monday.
The LRC cited inclement weather and hazardous road conditions in a news release announcing the cancellation.
Legislative committees expected to meet Tuesday will also be canceled.
House and Senate committees are scheduled to continue Wednesday, with the Senate slated to gavel in at 2 p.m. and the House at 4 p.m.
Lawmakers are off Monday in observance of Presidents Day.
