As part of the White House’s Made in America week, Kentucky company Campbellsville Apparel represented the state during a special event hosted by the president in Washington, D.C. on Monday.

The event was created to highlight and celebrate American-Made products and encourage other companies to manufacture their products in the U.S. In addition to Kentucky, the product showcase also featured products from other states across the country.

“Clearly, it’s time for a new policy, one defined by two simple rules,” President Trump stated at the event. “We will buy American and we will hire American.”

Many are calling the message behind Made in America week hypocritical, saying products under the Trump family brand are often manufactured overseas. But the White House says the president wants to make it easier to manufacture in the U.S.
