Friday August 10th:
-The guests for the Friday’s edition of Comment on Kentucky on KET, are Linda Blackford, reporter for the Lexington Herald-Leader, Joe Gerth, political writer for the Courier-Journal and our very own Pure Politics host, Ryan Alessi. So you can tune in to KET at 8/7 p.m. CT.
Saturday August 11th:
-The Boyd County Democratic Picnic from noon to 3 p.m. at Princess Park (located at the Intersection of U.S. 60 and Ky. 5). The event is open to all and the featured speaker will be 4th Congressional candidate Bill Adkins.
-The 2012 Kentucky Young Republican Convention will be held at the Jefferson County GOP Headquarters in East Louisville from 4-6 p.m. ET. This statewide meeting will feature many elected officials, candidates, and Conservative professionals across Kentucky. The GOP Headquarters is located at 4710 Champions Trace, #104 in Louisville, KY.
- U.S. Senator Rand Paul will be the featured speaker at a fundraiser for Republican candidate for the 31st state House District, Nick Simon, at the home of Jesse Flynn in Louisville.
