Hour of Code strengthens future Kentucky workforce

Anderson, Bowling Green Independent and Clay County High Schools were each announced on Thursday as recipients of a $3,000 Computer Science Education Incentive Award from Advance Kentucky and Charter Communications.

State Senate President Robert Stivers returned to his hometown in Manchester to present the award. Stivers says it’s important to teach students about coding and other forms of technology, so they are prepared to compete in the global workforce.
