Grimes releases second ad promoting a streamlined state government for businesses
10/28/2011 12:53 PM
Democratic candidate for Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is leaving her grandmothers at home in her second TV ad, instead focusing on government clutter.
In her second ad, titled “Departments,” Grimes films most of her ad from what appears to be on top of the Capitol Plaza Hotel, pointing out various state government departments within sight of her.
Grimes uses the backdrop to point out how many hoops businesses must jump through to operate in Kentucky and then promotes a simpler solution, if elected as Secretary of State.
According to the Grimes’ campaign, the ad starts over the weekend.
Grimes is running against Republican Bill Johnson to replace the outgoing Secretary of State Elaine Walker on Nov. 8.
