Grimes names transition team including former politicans, Republicans and Democrats

Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes has announced her transition team with her most notable help coming on her legislative issues committee.
Grimes, a first-time office holder, has recruited state Rep. Darryl Owens, a Louisville Democrat, as well as Republican state Rep. Alecia Webb-Edgington of Ft. Wright and state Sen. Bob Leeper, an independent from Paducah, to help direct her transition on legislative matters.
The chairman of Grimes transition team is former Democratic state Rep. Tim Firkins, who represented parts of south Louisville until losing his seat in 2010.
