As the top of the ticket battles back and forth with TV ads, Democratic Secretary of State candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is having a little fun with her first TV ad, featuring her grandmothers.
According to the Grimes campaign, the ad is running statewide and is a “significant” buy that starts today.
In the ad, Grimes lets her grandmothers do most of the talking, including mentioning her long name twice. But they also push part of Grimes’ platform in a subtle way.
Grimes is running against Republican Bill Johnson to replace outgoing Secretary of State Elaine Walker next year.
