Fundraiser update: Jeb Bush and Va.'s attorney general coming to Ky. and more

Here is the latest news of fundraisers for statewide candidates this fall:
- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will headline an Aug. 25 fundraiser in Louisville for David Williams, the Republican candidate for governor. His wife, Robyn Williams, said on Pure Politics she expects that event to help inject more enthusiasm into her husband’s effort.
- Republican candidate for Attorney General Todd P’Pool will get help from a Virginia’s Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli at a Sept. 29 fundraiser in Elizabethtown. Cuccinelli filed a suit last year challenging the constitutionality of the National Health Care Reform Act that requires individuals to have health insurance.
- Democratic candidate for auditor Adam Edelen will be raising money at two events on opposite sides of Kentucky next week with events in Pikeville on Aug. 23 and Louisville on Aug. 24.
- Republican candidate for agriculture commissioner James Comer reported raising $70,000 this week at a fundraiser in Bowling Green that featured Republican U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell and U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie.
