Fancy Farm moments: Luallen talks of the need to keep cool -- figuratively
08/05/2011 06:38 AM
Everyone knows the Fancy Farm picnic in far Western Kentucky gets hot. It is, after all, on the first Saturday in August.
But the political speaking event provides candidates with a different kind of heat — the pressure coming from chanting, heckling crowds of the opposing party.
Democratic state Auditor Crit Luallen talked about the methods her 2003 opponent, Linda Greenwell, used to try to throw her off her game during her speech. And she talked about what happened to one of her colleagues who lost his cool.
The 131st Annual Fancy Farm Picnic is this weekend in Graves County. Follow “Pure Politics” this weekend as we provide updates on the site and on Twitter. You can follow us @mycn2.
