Auditor candidate Adam Edelen's first ad stresses business background, family

In his first TV ad of his first campaign, Democratic candidate for state auditor Adam Edelen introduces himself to voters by stressing his background in business.
Edelen, a former executive for Thomas and King in Lexington that runs Applebees restaurants, says he’ll use his business experience to “make state government do more with less.” And he promises to crack down on fraud and wasteful spending.
The ad is scheduled to start running this weekend statewide, Edelen’s campaign said.
Edelen is running against Republican John Kemper to replace out-going Auditor Crit Luallen.
The ad will begin airing less than a week after Edelen and Kemper tangled on their joint appearance on Kentucky Educational Television on Monday.
